Building Information Modelling (BIM)
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a method of allowing project information from each member of the design team to be stored and managed in a single central digital model.
This collaborative way of working is able to offer increased efficiencies throughout the life-cycle of the building from design stage, through construction and into the facilities management phase. The UK government have stipulated that all centrally procured projects will require fully collaborative 3D BIM by 2016.
JDGA offer BIM enabled projects using the REVIT software. In addition to offering the opportunity for collaborative working, JDGA employ BIM to provide the following benefits to your projects:
- Enhanced coordination between services and with structural elements
- Greater flexibility in response to design development
- Instant 3D visualisation
